This was what I considered my most challenging production in college. The show took place in the blackbox theatre where there was already quite a bit of flexibility. But when an audience and set it placed, things get crowded quite quickly. I found that my plot, with as many lights as there were, ended up stacking on top of each other and I needed to find more crafty ways to get the intended look. I found I was able to cut more than add. With very concrete time constraints, I had to figure out how to do more with less. The final plot ended up moving all over the place until I found what the Director and I liked.
My biggest regret was cutting the fog…
